Summer is here, and hermit crabs everywhere are having their snacktime by the pool! Everything smells better at the beach when you?ve evolved recently from an ocean-going species, suggests Lucas Brouwers. His post, Terrestrial hermit crabs only smell their favourite snacks when water is around on Thoughtomics has this charming and colorful hermit crab illustration by artist Irene Goede. Here on Image of the Week, this crab makes us excited for flip flops, stripy beach towels, tidal pool species identification and the scent of soggy potato chips.
